One-Visit Dental Crowns
Traditionally, dental crowns take two visits to complete. During the first visit, you will have your tooth prepared and have impressions taken. Then you will wear a temporary crown while your permanent crown is being manufactured. Then you have to make a second visit, which means interrupting your schedule a second time, getting anesthesia a second time, and dealing with your dental anxiety a second time.
But with CEREC, we can design and craft your crown in a single visit while you relax at our office. There’s no unattractive and vulnerable temporary crown that can break prematurely. There’s no need to make a second visit–you can enjoy your permanent dental crown after a single visit.
CEREC crowns can be as beautiful, or more beautiful than crowns made in a dental lab. CEREC crowns are fully ceramic. They are designed to be translucent like natural tooth enamel, and Dr. Mark Dunayer can do more subtle tweaks of the coloration to ensure a closer match between the crown and your natural teeth.
Cerec crowns can even be designed with a dual-layer coloration to better mimic the transition from enamel to dentin (the inner layer of your tooth). They are as attractive, or more attractive.
CEREC crowns are made completely of ceramic, but the advanced ceramics combine beauty and strength. CEREC restorations have a 97% survival rate over five years, and over 90% survival rate at ten years. With proper care, your CEREC crown can last for decades.
Although CEREC crowns are ideal for use in the front of your mouth, where their beauty can really shine, they are strong enough for use on any tooth. They’re capable of standing up to the full bite force on a molar.
Have a Comfortable Dental Visit
At our office, we do everything we can to ensure you have a comfortable visit. Our office is designed to put visitors at ease, and you can enjoy a beverage while you wait. We offer nitrous oxide to help you overcome dental anxiety and discomfort during your visit.
Nitrous oxide is very effective at helping people with mild dental anxiety to have a more comfortable visit. This means you will be able to avoid:
- Difficulty getting numb
- Being tense in the chair
- Soreness during and after treatment
- Sensitive gag reflex
Instead, you will find that the dental experience is much more pleasurable and it passes more quickly. You’ll avoid tensing up in the chair and can let the procedure proceed without constantly worrying. You can even watch a movie during treatment to make the time pass more enjoyably.
We also offer oral sedation for people with more severe dental anxiety that might make it hard for them to visit the dentist at all.
Are You Ready to Enjoy a Premium Crown Experience?
If you are tired of the inconvenience and discomfort typically associated with getting a dental crown, then it’s time to try the Premium Crown Experience. Just one comfortable visit to get a beautiful and durable full-ceramic crown.
To learn whether the Premium Crown Experience is right for you, please call (845) 627-7645 today for an appointment with cosmetic dentist Dr. Mark Dunayer at B & D Dental Excellence – A Dental365 Company.
