Since the American Dental Association (ADA) has asked us to postpone elective and routine dental procedures, we are focused on providing emergency dental care. However, this does not mean that we are diminishing the quality of our service. We still provide the same high-quality dental care that our patients have come to expect from us. And there are some ways that this can benefit our patients considerably.
One way that our patients can benefit now is through our Premium Crown Experience, which combines CEREC One-Visit Crowns and sedation dentistry. Here’s why this is an even better choice now.
Only One Visit Required
With traditional dental crowns, you have to make two dental appointments to get the crown placed. During normal times, this is a nuisance, but now it is more significant. Two visits means two opportunities for coronavirus exposure or transmission (if you’re carrying it asymptomatically).
We do everything possible to control the risk of exposure, and you are far less likely to be exposed at our office than at any of the dozens of other places you might visit, but one visit is still less risk than two.
Replacement Crowns Are Easier
CEREC crowns are at least as durable as traditional dental crowns, and most will last a decade or more. However, in rare cases, dental crowns might fail early. Either there’s a defect or perhaps you have an extraordinary situation like tooth trauma that fractures the crown.
No matter the cause, it’s easy to replace a CEREC crown. We can just remake it from the previous scans and design, which can be done before you come in. All we have to do is remove the old crown and replace it during your visit.
Anxiety Control
We understand that many people find it stressful to visit the dentist under the best conditions. We do everything we can to reduce your stress by creating a comfortable environment. But sometimes that’s not enough. And these days, everyone is carrying a little extra tension, especially when they go out in public.
Sedation dentistry can help you control your anxiety. You won’t be asleep, you’ll be aware of what’s going on, but you won’t be stressed about it. That will be a welcome break for most people.
